I hope that you and the children are keeping well and have had a lovely Easter break.
I would like to update everyone on the Accelerated Reading Programme in Tannaghmore PS.
Firstly, congratulations to all those children who met their individual targets before the Easter holidays in Term 2. Well done!
The teachers have reset individual targets for pupils in P4-P7 for Term 3 . Unfortunately, the children are not in school to take another STAR reading assessment so we have had to use the pupils’ last STAR reading assessment results from January 2020, in order to set targets.
The reading time each day for every child has been allocated and the Accelerated Reader Programme has formulated new reading targets for Term 3.
In these exceptional circumstances, we actively encourage the children to continue reading and to take quizzes at home once they have finished a book. We also encourage the use of ‘MyOn’, a resource that provides access to thousands of digital books.

The children all have their individual usernames and passwords to take quizzes.
