Debutots Drama Club is a unique combination of interactive storytelling, original drama games and structured dramatic play for children of all ages in Primary School.
These sessions will transport your students to imaginary worlds where they can comfortably explore feelings, words, sounds, self-expression and movement and their relationships with others.
Skilled drama practitioners guide students through each story creatively, encouraging their ever-growing speaking and listening skills, feeding their imaginations for writing and scaffolding their new found capabilities as readers.
Over the course of each 5 week block, the children will go through a mixture of brainstorming, hot seating, improvisation and discussion. Then the children will develop their own piece of Drama or Story. Each week will develop on the previous session
Children will love the creative outlet that is a Debutots after-school club. With all the important PDMU benefits of a curriculum enriching Debutots class, tailored to the specific age-group, with some added fun and games for letting off steam at the end of a hard school day.
Debutots Early Years Drama After School Club
Session A- Primary 1-3 2pm - 3pm
Session B - Primary 4-7 3pm - 4pm
Over the course of the 1st 5-week block, the children will be joining in our fun-filled Light and Dark topic where we’ll meet Firework Fizz, Felix the Fox and even our own shadows!
The 2nd Block will be as winter draws near, so we’ll cosy down with a bit of Rhyme Time- exploring original stories based on famous nursery rhymes and having a whole lot of fun playing with words, sounds and rhymes as we go!
