Dear Parent/ Guardian
You will be aware that due to the COVID19 pandemic the transfer of materials between home and school must be kept to the absolute minimum. The teachers from Primary 4-7 are aware of the importance of homework in supporting the children’s learning and have been working on digital solutions to fulfil this role. The school has invested in a number of online programs to support the children’s learning;
- Mathletics- Mathletics is a web-based learning program that integrates home and school learning via the internet. You can access Mathletics any time from a computer by visiting www.mathletics.co.uk The multi award-winning e-learning platform is also available on iPad, Android and Windows devices!
- Accelerated Reader - Accelerated Reader is a powerful tool designed to meet the individual reading needs of every pupil. It is most effective when the school and home work together to promote individual reading. Log in from home at https://ukhosted85.renlearn.co.uk/2234998/.

- MyON - MyON (www.myon.co.uk) is a student-centred, personalized literacy environment that gives students access to more than 6,000 enhanced digital books. Titles are dynamically matched to each individual student’s interests, grade and reading level.
Beginning on Monday 21st, the children’s activities on these learning platforms will be guided by their teacher who will set activities to match the learning in school and will monitor the children’s attainments.
Each child will be given a sheet with their passwords for each of these programs and we would encourage parents to actively engage with their children. If you have any issues with passwords etc, please let me know by emailing smccreesh642@c2kni.net.
A new homework area is available on the school website (which can be found under the Kids Area tab) will give details of your child’s homework for the week. (Password is lurgan20)
These learning platforms will require a device such as an iPad, a tablet, laptop or computer and a provision of wifi in your house. Please let me know by email if your child will not be able to access these activities.
