Important Notice for Parents

Dear Parent/ Guardian

I have to take the unusual step of contacting you over the weekend but I feel it is necessary to inform all parents of the extremely high number of Covid19 positive cases from Friday evening right up to this afternoon. Thank you to all parents who reported the positive cases over the weekend and please continue to do so. We had been warned by EA that this surge was likely to happen and we seem to be experiencing our most challenging period since the start of the pandemic.

To ensure that we limit the spread of Covid19 as much as possible, I am asking all pupils in the following classes to undertake a lateral flow COVID test (LFT) at home before coming back into school.

P2A Mrs McKerr's Class
P2C Mrs McAlinden’s Class
Primary 3 Classes
Primary 4 Classes
Primary 6C Ms Brannigan's Class
Primary 7A Mrs Rooney's Class
Primary 7C Mr Creery's Class

Parents can continue to support our school by keeping children who are unwell at home and also keeping children at home if there is a positive case in the house.

This situation is particularly difficult for the school to manage but I am confident that with the support of our parents, we will hopefully be back to normal in the not too distant future.
