Online Leaning January 2021
Dear Parent,
I hope you and your family are keeping well.
On Monday the packs for home learning are to be collected in school.
- Primary 1-3 from 9.30 – 10.30
- Primary 4 & 5 11-12noon
- P 6 & 7 1-2pm.
The packs will contain paper resources which will match the online resources that will be made available through the home school area of the school website https://www.tannaghmoreps.com/kids-area/home-school-area/ The work can be returned to school in two ways;
- Worksheets that can be completed on the computer can be submitted back to the teacher for marking through the website. A parent can also take a photo of the worksheet which has been completed on paper and submit it back to the teacher through the website. The teacher can then respond with feedback.
- The worksheet or book can be returned to school in the folder provided when the next pack is ready on Friday 22nd January.
I want to pay tribute to all our staff who have worked behind the scenes planning, preparing and organising for remote learning. They have been patient, flexible and innovative in their dedication to the children’s learning this week.
Children who will be in school for supervised learning will work through the resources that are available on the website and workpack. There will be no face to face teaching.
I have previously contacted parents to ask that school be used for supervision only as a last resort. I would stress that home is the safest place for children during this pandemic. We are currently experiencing a large number of requests from parents for supervision next week. We will do our best to accommodate your requests but would urge you to only send the children in to school if there is no other option. This is in the interest of the health and safety of our children and staff.
Yours Sincerely
Seamus McCreesh
Principal
