School Newsletter
Dear Parent/ Guardian
I hope you and your family are keeping well. This year has been a difficult one for children, parents and school staff and I’m delighted to report that the children are well settled in school and we are all relieved to return to a little normality.
- COVID-19
Please continue to support the school by following the guidelines around the school gates. All parents, unless medically exempt, should be wearing a face covering and adhering to social distancing. Please ensure that any adult picking up your child is aware of this.
2. School Closures
School will be closed on Friday 28th and Monday 31st of May.
3. Primary 6 & 7 Internet Safety Workshop
Primary 6 & 7 children will be taking part in an E-Safety workshop on Monday 24th May in school. The workshop which is run by REIM in conjunction with the Community Partnership and the PSNI will involve children from Tannaghmore, St. Francis’ and St. Theresa’s Primary Schools. We are very aware of the importance of passing on the skills that the children will need to navigate the online world safely and we are very pleased to be able to offer this workshop. An electronic permission slip will be text out to parents.
4. Healthy Breaks
We are encouraging parents to send a healthy snack, such as a piece of fruit, with the children for their morning break Please avoid sending snacks which contain high levels of sugar such as chocolate or sweets.
5. Foundation Stage
Primary 1 classes moving to Primary 2 in September will not be reformed into new classes but will remain the same until the end of Primary 2. All other children from Primary 3-7 will be organised into new classes.
