Updated Arrangements for March
Dear Parent/ Guardian
Following the latest announcement by the Executive, I wish to update parents on the new arrangements for P4–P7 classes.
The Executive has now agreed that pupils in P4-7 can return to full time face to face teaching from 22nd March .
Remote Learning will be provided for P4-7 on Thursday 18th. Please note; All P4-7 home school packs should be returned to school on Friday 19th and placed in the appropriate boxes which will be located in front of the school from 8am until 3.30pm. This is to allow the requisite time to pass so that the material in the packs can be used from Monday 22nd when the children come back to school.
Supervised learning will be provided for vulnerable children and key worker children on Thursday 18th and Friday 19th March.
As we are drawing near the end of the remote learning, I wish to thank our children and parents for their perseverance and great effort in what has been a difficult situation. Thanks to those parents who completed the COVID survey recently which was overwhelmingly postive toward the school staff and I wish to express my gratitude to the teachers and all school staff for their hard work.
We intend to mark World Down Syndrome Day tomorrow in school and children can take part in Rock your Socks! Brightly coloured odd socks can be worn.
Please consult the school calender on the school App and website for PE days for your child.
The school buses will run as normal from 22nd March and school meals will be available for all children. Please book school meals and bus places before Monday 22nd.
Morning arrangements will be the same as before the lock down. P1-3 will enter at North Circular Road, P4&5 will enter through the main EXIT GATE at the front of the school and P6&7 will enter through the main ENTRANCE GATE at the front of the school. The gates will open at 8.50am.
The arrangement for Hometime at 3pm will also remain the same;
P4 North Circular Road -2.50
P5 North Circular Road 3pm
P6 MAIN ENTRANCE GATE 2.50
P7 MAIN ENTRANCE GATE 3pm.
The Department of Education have instructed that Breakfast Clubs are not permitted to reopen yet. I will inform you when that changes.
School closes for the Easter break at 12noon on Thursday 1st April and buses will be available.
We are delighted to welcome all children back to Tannaghmore PS on Monday 22nd March.
Best wishes
Seamus McCreesh
